Easter Lilies
Create this beautiful flower of Spring and symbol of Easter with Pacon® Construction Paper. Emboss the construction paper if you’d like to give the flowers a unique look.
Project Steps:
-
Step 1:
For each flower you will need 6 petals and 3 leaves. Emboss the Construction Paper if you’d like, or keep it plain. Using the Easter Lilies Pattern Template to trace and cut 6 petals from White Construction Paper and 3 leaves from Green Construction Paper. Following the instructions on the patterns, cut slit and punch two 1/8″ holes in each petal and punch one 1/16″ hole in each leaf.
-
Step 2:
Slide the tips of each petal and each leaf over the edge of a table to create a curve (like petal shown).
-
Step 3:
Next, take each petal one at a time and apply a little glue around the bottom hole. Take top hole and carefully pull over bottom hole of petal, making sure to line up holes (as shown). Repeat with remaining 5 petals. Set aside to dry.
-
Step 4:
Cut 3 pieces from an Orange chenille stem approximately 2″ long. Place all three lengths together then twist the Green chenille stem around the center of the Orange chenille stem (as shown). Bend and arrange the Orange chenille stems so that they look like the center of an Easter Lily.
-
Step 5:
To create the flower, first take 3 petals, add a little glue around the hole on each one, slide them onto the stem and space evenly.
-
Step 6:
Add the remaining 3 petals filling in the flower. To finish your Easter Lily, add the 3 leaves, spacing 1″ apart.
