Paper Bead Necklace Project

Difficulty: Easy

Great for all ages. Teach kids the concept of patterns and sequences with these hand made paper beads.

Other Tools and Materials Needed:

  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Project Steps:

  1. Step 1:

Cut It: Begin by cutting long acute triangles out of Creativity Street® Specialty Craft Paper Assortment, about 1 inch wide at the widest part of the triangle. Repeat this process until desired amount of beads are cut.

  2. Step 2:

Create It: Place a strip on the workplace with the colored side face down. Take a pencil and place on the wide end of the triangle and roll paper over pencil until it is completely rolled up. Place a small drop of glue at the point of the triangle to hold the bead’s shape. Remove from pencil and repeat process until all beads are made.

  3. Step 3:

Cut Yarn: Cut a strip of yarn to desired length to fit around your neck loosely.

  4. Step 4:

String It: Choose complementing beads and lay out a pattern with newly created paper beads. String beads and then tie off ends when necklace is complete.
